Wayne Hammack

Advisory Board Member

One of the true gurus of the large events industry, Wayne Hammack has over 25 years of extensive marketing, project management, public relations, strategic planning, and event planning experience. He entered into the events business while working for Coors: assigned to the Coors Light Brand marketing group for Coors Brewing Company, he managed and developed Silver Bullet Jet, NASCAR, CART and International Water Ski Tour sports marketing programs, and was responsible for development and introduction of new packaging, package sizes, Hispanic marketing, and brand budget development. He developed the first integrated Hispanic marketing campaign for Coors Light, and separately was Division Manager for the Great Lakes, which included the 3rd and 5th largest beer markets in the U.S. at that time.

Aviation Becomes His Life’s Work

Hammack decided that air shows were the place to be, and he left Coors to own and operate the Coors Light Silver Bullet Jet Aerobatic Team, personally, from 1990 to 1992.

His resume in the aviation-events world is extensive, including:

  • Produces and manages Air Show Colorado, NORWEST Rocky Mountain Air Show, Grand Junction Air Show, Wings of Freedom Air Show and Silent Wings Air Show and other aviation events 1992 to present.
  • Organized aviation related trade show displays and events for Minolta Cameras in Cologne, Germany and Jeppesen in Colorado.
  • Completed key aviation projects in Russia.
  • Organized event logistics for the X PRIZE / SpaceShip One launches in Mojave, California.
  • Has imported/exported historical foreign-registered aircraft.
  • Current clients include Grand Junction Air Show Inc., Jefferson County (Colorado) Airport, XCOR Aerospace, Umbrella Event Marketing, The Northern Lights Aerobatic Team, and the Moscow Aircraft Group. The Hammack Group is currently involved in aviation event planning, international aviation projects and media relations.

Community and Industry Involvement

Along with his other affiliations, Hammack participates on the boards of:

  • The JeffCo Aviation Association
  • The International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and formerly Chairman
  • The Flight for Life Development Board based at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver

He attended Southern Illinois University, had a stint in the military (US Army Ordnance), and has managed numerous events throughout North America with audiences of every size. His experience and understanding of event dynamics is a key component of BMP’s fast growth and success in the industry.
