Sumesh Thakur produces a broad range of documentaries, sporting events and youth marketing programs for national television networks, corporate usage and marketing/PR firms. He specializes in tapping into the elusive 14–25 year old market.
Sumesh’ early achievements begin in film school at California State University at Long Beach, where he directed award–winning short films and graduated at the top of his class. Afterwards, he began his career at OceanWatch Production group, where he is currently President of the company. At OceanWatch, Sumesh has produced over 300 hours of video and film programming, including numerous properties airing on ESPN, ESPN2, USA Network, SpikeTV, Fox Sports Network. He has also won major awards for documentary production.
Currently, he leads a team of highly creative producers, editors and writers in creating compelling programming for the youth market. His work has taken him from the peaks of Alaska to the rolling deck of an aircraft carrier at sea and everywhere in between.
