Mr. Block has a long and successful career in the computer software, communication and entertainment industries including pioneering roles in commercial and pay television and cellular telephone operating companies. He has also contributed significantly to the creation and development of entertainment and communication technologies used worldwide.

Block is widely known for his pioneering work in communications, information and management technologies. He is the inventor and patent owner of more than 150 issued US and International patents, including patents relating to: Enterprise Management Systems, Information Labeling, Signal Control, Terrestrial and Satellite Distribution Systems, Real-Time Subscriber Billing Systems, Pay-Per-View and Parental Control, Speech Education, Exercise Equipment and Novelty items. His inventions are licensed to most of the major consumer electronic manufacturers and have influenced entertainment, sports and information and education services worldwide. He currently has multiple patent applications in process including patents relating to interoperability of non-compatible radio systems, information labeling, power metering and business management systems.

Block is a founder and Chairman of ShipCom , Interoperability Technologies Group (ITG) and Link Us All, Block & Associates and Choice Channel. He is a shareholder and advisor to the President of Eagle Telephonics. He is also the Founder, Chairman, principal shareholder and chief architect of 3D Business Tools, a partner and Director of Rezn8 and the founder and first Chairman of UBmatrix. In addition he is an investor and Board member of USCL and the Co-chair of the Technology Policy Committee of the National Energy Marketer’s Association.

In the media and entertainment industry, Block is a co-founder, Chairman and the principal shareholder of American Entertainment International, the majority shareholder and Chairman of Landmark Entertainment Group. He is a partner with Waxman/Williams in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Bombay Dreams and the off Broadway production of We’re Still Hot.

Block was an early thinker regarding the worldwide distribution of data. The US Defense Department, two major Universities, and the Futurist magazine published his 1984 paper introducing the concept of a “Worldwide Information Utility”. He is a Past President, and a Founding Trustee of the United States Sports Academy, a Board Member of the L.T. Walker Human Performance Center at East Carolina University, as well as a presenter and guest lecturer on many occasions, including lecturing at the University of California, University of Wisconsin, U.S. Air Force Academy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Academy of Science, Beijing, Beijing Institute of Technology and Hunan University.

Block graduated from the U.S. Army Medical Corps School of Pharmacy. He received a BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin, a BS in Foreign Trade from the Latin American Institute, and an Honorary Doctorate from the United States Sports Academy.
