Bill Battison
Advisory Board Member
Bill Battison is one of the best-known executives in the broadcast industry, with over 25 years of operational and deal experience. He has been CEO, President or SVP of companies such as:
- Angeles Capital Group which he co-founded and has raised over $750 million through transactions in the US and China
- BuyItNow, an e-commerce venture
- Iwerks Entertainment, a public traded leader in location-based entertainment systems
- RXN Radio, an interactive radio company
- Valence Technologies, a publicly traded developer of high technology energy solutions
For almost a decade, Bill was President of Westwood One, during which he acquired the NBC Radio Network from General Electric. Before that, Bill was SVP with ABC and was responsible for leading the conversion of the radio network industry from land line to satellite distribution. Prior to ABC, he was a Management Consultant in the Technology Management Group of Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Bill has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Colgate Darden Graduate Business School of UVA. He is currently on the boards of directors of several public and private companies in the technology, software and entertainment fields, and serves on several advisory boards including Big Moving Pictures. His unique combination of experience and expertise in both the broadcast and location-based entertainment industries, coupled with enormous business savvy, makes Bill a tremendous addition to the BMP Board of Advisors.
