For Advertisers
Get your commercials on BMP’s rolling TV network.
BMP has a ‘broadcast footprint’ exceeding 9 million spectators this year alone. The sheer size of the events that BMP participates in gives you an essentially captive audience, where just to leave the site for a meal would cost the spectator nearly half the day. Instead, they stay onsite and watch the integrated program with your embedded television advertising. The opportunity is vast, strong and has the immediacy of a high-energy event where people can buy there on the spot, afterward at home, or even live via their cellphones.
Reaching Audiences Out Of Home
The number of media distractions continually hitting today’s consumers is increasing — ranging from TiVo-like personal video recorders that allow skipping of commercials, to hundreds of channels, to WiFi in the house that means when advertising runs it’s time to check e-mail. BMP avoids the distraction factor by reaching consumers where they congregate in large numbers — including air shows, motor races and music festivals.
A Truly Integrated Program
Experiencing BMP at a large event is akin to enjoying a television program at home, but with the action taking place all around you — there is no competition for the ‘signal’ as the event announcers and performers/competitors are integrated with the ‘broadcast’ — the events that BMP participates in have three important characteristics:
- Multi-day event (weekends or week-long)
- Over 50,000 people attending each day
- Multiple acts or competitions with breaks in the action
BMP does not charge the event producer to appear, nor does BMP share revenues with the event producer. Instead, the network/local advertising model from TV and radio applies, whereby BMP gives a portion of the available ‘airtime’ to the event producer, which BMP encourages be sold to the event’s local sponsors. BMP focuses its advertising sales on national brands such as yours. By providing a ‘footprint’ across North America, BMP gives you the opportunity to reach monied audiences in a manner that is virtually unprecedented for its power, presence and unavoidability.
The Air Show Demographic
For 2008 the BMP Rolling TV Network will appear at numerous very large aviation events, including shows featuring the US Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team. A study performed by a leading polling firm provides excellent demographical information on North American air show attendees. Highlights include:
- 6.5 hours: Average time on show site
- 55/45: Male/female mix
- 35: Median age of attendee
- 69%: have attended college
- $75,000: Average household income
- 73%: attend air shows annually

How To Advertise
Your standard TV commercials can run directly on BMP’s large outdoor video screens and sound systems. With your advertising contract you submit your 30/60 second commercials and receive full auditing of play just as with network broadcasts. Contact your regional BMP office to arrange a meeting about the opportunities available to you and your product or service now that television is integrated with large spectator events.
